I was hoping Darksouls would be on here, but when I think about it I suppose its just building on the learning by death philosophy of Demon Souls. Minecraft was the only real option for the winner though. So influential.
another point where GT fails to understand video games… Minecraft is not innovative at all, it takes an already used concept, and simply improved on it. and like the narrator said “Widely popular a year before it’s release” that alone disqualifies it from this category in my eyes. the only games that showed TRUE innovation on this list were Skyward Sword, Spyro (as much of a money grab as it is) and MAYBE driver, but i conciser that to be more of a gimmick then anything.
I hate Minecraft, but I believe that in the future it may be considered as one of the pioneers of user generated content and its significance will become much more important than now.
@rerewert2 SKYWARD SWORD??! that thing with the wiimotion plus is NOT new!! it was in resort and other wii games, and zelda is always the same (not in the bad way - its always great)

@donutboy990 how is it always the same dude? and yeah Wii motion was in Wii sport resort but it was not as good as skyward sword those controls were almost perfect if they were more accurate like the playstation move
